About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and technically proficient Site Engineer to support construction projects in the Stoke-on-Trent area. This role is critical for ensuring that construction work is executed accurately according to design specifications and quality standards. You will be responsible for setting out, surveying, and managing site engineering tasks, working closely with site management and subcontractors. This is an excellent entry to mid-level opportunity for an aspiring engineer to gain valuable experience on varied construction sites in Staffordshire, contributing to a company dedicated to delivering high-quality infrastructure and building projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform setting out and levelling tasks to ensure accuracy of construction activities.
- Conduct quality control checks and ensure compliance with technical specifications.
- Manage site surveys and measurements, producing accurate site records.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications for site execution.
- Assist with the planning and scheduling of site engineering works.
- Liaise with subcontractors and site staff to resolve technical queries in Stoke-on-Trent .
Requirements
- Degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in a site engineering role, including setting out and surveying.
- Proficiency with surveying equipment (total station, GPS) and relevant software.
- Good understanding of construction processes and site management practices.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
