Are you an experienced Site Engineer looking for a stable, permanent role with varied projects, a strong pipeline of work and a team where people tend to stay?
We are recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a well-established Scottish civil engineering contractor delivering a range of civil engineering and groundwork projects across the Central Belt.
With low staff turnover, a strong team culture and projects close to home, this is a great opportunity for someone looking for long-term stability while continuing to develop their career.
The Role
Working closely with the Site Agent and Contracts Manager, you'll help ensure projects are delivered safely, accurately and to programme.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting out works in line with drawings and specifications.
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings.
- Monitoring works against specifications and quality standards.
- Supporting the Site Agent and Contracts Manager with technical duties.
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors and colleagues to resolve issues.
- Maintaining accurate site records and supporting health and safety requirements.
About You
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering.
- Experience in groundwork and/or civil engineering projects.
- HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Full UK driving licence.
You'll be technically capable, practical and confident working on live construction sites, with the ability to work independently as part of a wider team.
