About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to oversee and manage various installation and maintenance projects across Scotland. This role is essential for ensuring that all on-site operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for coordinating teams, managing resources, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles and excellent project management skills, enabling them to effectively supervise work on construction and installation sites, contributing to the successful delivery of complex engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage on-site engineering activities, ensuring adherence to project plans.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Maintain detailed site records, including daily reports, progress charts, and safety documentation.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure work meets specified standards.
Requirements
- Degree or HND in a relevant Engineering discipline.
- Proven experience working as a Site Engineer or in a similar supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of construction and installation methodologies.
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation in the UK.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams.
