Site Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Site Engineer to join their construction team in Brighton . In this essential role, you will be responsible for setting out sites, managing engineering works, and ensuring that construction activities are carried out accurately and safely according to plans and specifications. You will play a key role in the technical delivery of projects, working closely with the Site Manager and construction teams to ensure high standards of quality and precision on site. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring engineer to gain valuable experience on challenging construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake accurate setting out and control of engineering works on site.
• Ensure all site engineering activities are carried out in accordance with designs, specifications, and health and safety standards.
• Monitor and control quality of construction works, reporting any discrepancies.
• Manage junior engineers and site staff, providing technical guidance and support.
• Liaise with surveyors, designers, and subcontractors to resolve technical queries.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports and as-built information.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar engineering role on construction sites.
• Proficiency in using total station and GPS surveying equipment.
• Good understanding of construction methods and materials.
• Awareness of site safety procedures and regulations.
