About the Role
Our client requires a motivated and detail-oriented Site Engineer to join their construction projects in the Plymouth area. You will be responsible for ensuring that construction work is carried out to the correct specifications, managing site activities, and providing technical support to the site team. This role is essential for maintaining quality control, adhering to project plans, and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of engineering tasks on site, bridging the gap between design and practical implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications, ensuring work is executed as per design.
- Supervise and manage on-site construction activities, coordinating labor and subcontractors.
- Conduct quality checks and ensure work complies with project standards and specifications.
- Manage site logistics, including material delivery and plant allocation.
- Prepare daily site reports, recording progress, issues, and resource usage.
- Ensure all site activities adhere to strict health and safety regulations .
Requirements
- Degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar site-based engineering role.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Good understanding of construction methods and materials.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
