About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and technically adept Site Engineer to join their growing construction team. This hybrid role involves a blend of on-site supervision and remote technical support, ensuring the smooth execution of construction activities. You will be instrumental in translating engineering designs into reality, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical details to guide on-site operations.
- Supervise and manage civil engineering works, ensuring adherence to design and quality standards.
- Conduct site surveys, measurements, and setting out for construction activities.
- Prepare daily site reports, track progress, and report any deviations or issues to the project manager.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture on site.
- Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and other site personnel to resolve technical queries.
Requirements
- Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar site-based engineering role.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction techniques.
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment and CAD software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with site teams and remote management.
