Site Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a capable and motivated Site Engineer to join their team on a dynamic construction project in Reading . This role is essential for providing technical support on-site, ensuring that construction activities are carried out according to design specifications, plans, and schedules. You will play a key role in setting out, monitoring quality, and contributing to the smooth running of operations, supporting the delivery of high-quality construction outcomes in the Berkshire area.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate setting out and levelling tasks on site using appropriate survey equipment.
• Check drawings and specifications to ensure work is carried out correctly.
• Monitor the quality of work and materials, reporting any defects or deviations.
• Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical queries.
• Maintain site records, including daily reports, survey data, and quality checks.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring site health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
• Experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar technical role on construction sites.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment (e.g., total stations, levels).
• Good understanding of construction methods and techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
