Site Engineer

An established main contractor is looking to appoint a Site Engineer for a major residential-led regeneration project in Battersea.

This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for an Engineer who wants to join a strong project team and develop their career with a contractor known for delivering large and complex schemes.

This is not a Senior Engineer position, and you will not be expected to provide your own surveying equipment. The role will focus primarily on quality assurance, setting out, coordinating with the site teams and supporting the development of the project’s graduate engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Completing and managing QA documentation and inspections

• Setting out

• Liaising closely with site managers, subcontractors and the wider project team

• Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings and specifications

• Assisting with engineering queries and resolving issues on site

• Supporting and helping to develop junior and graduate engineers

• Maintaining accurate site records

• Promoting high standards of quality and health and safety

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous UK experience as a Site Engineer

• Experience working on similar large-scale residential, commercial or mixed-use projects

• A relevant engineering qualification

• Good knowledge of QA procedures and construction documentation

• Strong communication and coordination skills

• A proactive attitude and willingness to support less experienced team members

• A valid CSCS card
