Site Installation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and practical Site Installation Engineer to join their team in Leeds, West Yorkshire . This role involves the hands-on installation and setup of sophisticated equipment at customer premises, requiring a blend of technical skill and customer interaction. You will play a key role in ensuring seamless integration of our products into client environments, adhering strictly to project timelines and technical specifications. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving on-site and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers and clients to achieve successful project outcomes. Some remote planning and reporting will be integrated into the workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the installation and commissioning of equipment at various customer sites, ensuring adherence to designs and standards.
• Perform system testing and calibration post-installation to verify functionality and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues encountered during the installation process.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion of installation milestones.
• Provide basic training to end-users on the operation of installed equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of installation activities, including any deviations or issues encountered.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a field installation or engineering role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with a knack for diagnostics.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics effectively.
• Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
• Must be able to travel to various client locations within the Leeds region and surrounding areas.
