About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Installation Engineer to join their project delivery team in the Plymouth, Devon area. You will be responsible for overseeing and executing the on-site installation of specialized equipment and systems, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to manage installation processes effectively, collaborating with project managers, clients, and site teams. You will play a vital role in the successful deployment of our solutions across various customer locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute the installation of equipment and systems on client sites according to project plans.
- Ensure all installations comply with design specifications, technical standards, and safety regulations.
- Conduct site surveys and prepare installation work plans and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and sub-contractors to ensure timely completion.
- Perform initial system testing and commissioning to verify functionality post-installation.
- Document installation progress, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented.
Requirements
- Experience in a site installation or project engineering role, preferably within an engineering or construction context.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals.
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements on construction or industrial sites.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel regularly to project sites within the region.
