Site Manager - Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee a diverse range of construction projects in and around Leicester . This is a critical role responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will be the primary point of contact on-site, managing all day-to-day operations, coordinating trades, and upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
• Develop and implement detailed project schedules, closely monitoring progress and resource allocation.
• Ensure strict compliance with all health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and toolbox talks.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel effectively.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and material inventories.
• Quality control, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards and addressing any defects promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Demonstrable knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal requirements.
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant qualifications, such as a degree in Construction Management or a trade qualification, are advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings effectively.
