Location: Berkshire Contract Length: 4–6 weeks Rate: £300–£325 per day Site: MOD Site Clearance: SC Clearance – Essential
We are currently seeking an experienced SC Cleared Site Manager for a 4–6 week contract based on an MOD site in Berkshire, working on a construction project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with the required quality and programme standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate daily site operations. Supervise subcontractors, trades, and site personnel. Oversee construction activities and ensure works are delivered to specification. Oversee temporary works installation and ensure works are carried out safely and in accordance with approved designs and procedures. Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification. Monitor progress and report any issues or delays. Coordinate site logistics, deliveries, materials, and plant. Ensure compliance with RAMS, health & safety procedures, and site requirements. Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Conduct regular site inspections. Maintain accurate site records and daily reports.Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Manager. Valid SC Clearance is essential. Previous experience working on MOD sites is highly advantageous. Construction experience is essential. Experience overseeing temporary works is desirable. Strong health & safety knowledge. Excellent subcontractor and workforce management skills. CSCS and SMSTS required. First Aid advantageous.
