Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Permanent, full-time
An established and growing housebuilding business is looking for an experienced Site Manager to join its construction team and take responsibility for the successful delivery of a residential development.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive construction professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality homes safely, efficiently and to programme.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme, quality and commercial requirements.
You will:
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, site operatives and suppliers.
Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with company procedures and relevant legislation.
Drive the programme to achieve key construction milestones and handover dates.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality throughout the development.
Monitor progress, identify potential issues and implement effective solutions.
Coordinate with the wider construction, technical and commercial teams.
Manage site records, inspections and relevant documentation.
Ensure homes are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and building regulations.
Promote a positive culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, colleagues and customers.
About You
We are looking for someone with proven experience managing residential construction sites, ideally within the housebuilding sector.
You will have:
Previous experience as a Site Manager within residential construction.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, health and safety and quality standards.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
The ability to lead subcontractors and site teams effectively.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and programme management.
A strong eye for detail and a commitment to delivering quality homes.
Relevant industry qualifications, including a valid CSCS card and appropriate Site Management/Safety Training Scheme certification.
