Site Manager

Site Manager – Grade II Listed Building Refurbishment Location: Stoke-on-Trent Contract: Freelance / Self-Employed Duration: Approximately 12 months Rate: £250–£280 per day Project Value: £3m–£4m We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of a £3m–£4m refurbishment and conversion project in Stoke-on-Trent. The project involves the full fit-out and conversion of a Grade II Listed building to create residential apartments, alongside significant external works including facade refurbishment and roof works. This is a long-term opportunity for an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in refurbishment, fit-out or heritage projects, who is confident managing subcontractors, programme and day-to-day site operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Take day-to-day responsibility for the site and construction activities. * Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site operatives. * Ensure works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards. * Coordinate internal fit-out and apartment conversion works. * Oversee facade, roofing and associated external works. * Work closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team. * Monitor progress against the programme and address any issues promptly. * Maintain high standards of health & safety and site housekeeping. * Coordinate materials, deliveries and site logistics. * Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements. * Liaise with clients, consultants and other project stakeholders as required. * Maintain site records, inductions, inspections and relevant documentation.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have: * Proven experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment, fit-out or conversion projects. * Experience working on listed buildings, heritage properties or complex refurbishment projects would be highly advantageous. * Strong knowledge of construction processes
