The Role

Manage the day-to-day running of construction sites and ensure work progresses according to programme. Coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers and site operatives. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Plan and organise site activities, labour, materials and plant. Monitor progress against the construction programme and address delays or issues. Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation, site rules and company procedures. Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and safety inspections. Maintain high standards of quality and workmanship, identifying and resolving defects. Liaise with project managers, quantity surveyors, architects, engineers, clients and consultants. Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications and programmes. Manage deliveries and ensure materials and equipment are available when needed. Keep accurate site records, reports, diaries and progress updates. Deal with site problems and unexpected issues, finding practical solutions. Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure work is completed to specification. Help coordinate commissioning, snagging and handover when the project is nearing completion. The Ideal Candidate: Experienced Site Manager with a strong background in construction and major projects. Has experience managing large or complex construction projects from start to completion. Strong leadership skills, able to manage subcontractors, trades and site teams effectively. Takes ownership and responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site. Excellent understanding of health and safety, including RAMS, inductions, toolbox talks and site inspections.
