About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Manager to oversee daily operations on construction sites in and around Birmingham . You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to effectively manage diverse teams and subcontractors. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement detailed project schedules and work plans.
- Ensure all site activities comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Supervise and direct site personnel, including tradespeople and laborers, ensuring high productivity.
- Manage relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, resolving any issues that arise.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality of work and progress against the plan.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, safety reports, and material inventories.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., SMSTS, First Aid) are essential.
- Proficiency in project management software is a plus.
