Site Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and proactive Site Manager to oversee operations on a key construction project in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a leader with a strong understanding of construction processes, health and safety regulations, and team management. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct all on-site activities and personnel, including subcontractors.
• Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Develop and manage the project schedule, ensuring milestones are met.
• Conduct site inductions and regular safety toolbox talks.
• Monitor progress, quality of work, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project objectives are met.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in the construction industry .
• SMSTS certification and First Aid qualifications are essential.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations and health & safety legislation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing multiple trades and subcontractors effectively.
