About the Role
Our client, a leading construction firm, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Site Manager to oversee operations at a key development in Leicester . This is a critical role where you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage day-to-day operations on site, coordinate with various trades, and maintain a safe and productive working environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of construction processes from inception to completion, contributing significantly to the company's reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, labourers, and site staff to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Implement and enforce strict health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.
- Manage site resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to ensure efficient project execution.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety documentation.
- Liaise with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve site issues and ensure project objectives are met.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills .
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and project specifications.
- Relevant construction management certifications or qualifications are highly desirable.
- Valid CSCS card or equivalent.
