About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a proactive and experienced Site Manager to oversee operations on a key construction project in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the building site, ensuring that work is carried out safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong leader with excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of managing multiple teams and subcontractors effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct all on-site activities, including coordinating trades, materials, and equipment.
- Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Develop and manage the project schedule, ensuring timely completion of all construction phases.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with plans and specifications.
- Manage subcontractor performance, ensuring they adhere to project requirements and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety documentation.
Requirements
- Significant experience in a similar Site Management role within the construction sector.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification is essential.
- Strong knowledge of building regulations and construction best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- First Aid at Work certification is desirable.
