Site Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced Site Manager to oversee operations on construction sites across the Birmingham area. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role demands strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes and health and safety regulations. You will be the primary point of contact on-site, coordinating labour, materials, and equipment to achieve project milestones, contributing to the successful delivery of diverse construction projects in the heart of the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate all construction activities on-site.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage and motivate site teams, including subcontractors and direct labour.
• Monitor project progress, quality, and adherence to specifications.
• Manage site resources, including materials and equipment procurement.
• Maintain accurate site records and daily reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in the construction industry.
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification is essential.
• First Aid at Work certification.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building regulations, and health and safety legislation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
