Site Manager – Water / MEICA
Location: West Midlands
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 + Car Allowance (DOE)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a business-critical project within the UK water industry. This is a key role supporting the early stages of a project, working closely with the Programme Manager to deliver high-quality MEICA installations across multiple sites.This opportunity is ideal for a Site Manager with a strong background in MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation) and hands-on experience within the water or utilities sector .
As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for overseeing site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing multiple sites across the UK water industry
- Supervising construction, fabrication, and MEICA installation activities
- Liaising with clients and providing regular progress updates
- Attending project and design meetings
- Monitoring programme, costs, and workforce performance
- Managing MEICA subcontractors and site teams
- Overseeing commissioning of MEICA systems
- Ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and industry standards
- Conducting quality, safety, and compliance inspections
- Maintaining site documentation (CPP, PMP, CDM, site diaries)
- Promoting a strong safety culture and delivering toolbox talks
Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience in MEICA and water industry projects
- Strong understanding of engineering and construction principles
- SMSTS, CSCS Card, First Aid at Work
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
- Temporary Works Supervisor
- A61 Appointed Person
- MEICA-related training/certification
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
- Knowledge of DSEAR and ATEX environments
- Understanding of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) and BS EN 1090
