About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced Site Manager to oversee operations at a key construction site in Coventry . This critical role involves ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while supervising and coordinating all on-site activities. You will be responsible for leading a diverse team of tradespeople and operatives, maintaining high standards of workmanship, and upholding strict health and safety regulations. The successful candidate will be a natural leader with excellent organizational skills, committed to achieving project milestones and fostering a collaborative, productive work environment within the West Midlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule all construction activities, coordinating labour, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations , conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures.
- Supervise and manage all site personnel, including subcontractors, ensuring performance and productivity.
- Monitor project progress against the schedule and budget, reporting any deviations and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain quality control throughout the construction process, ensuring work meets specifications and standards.
- Manage site logistics, including deliveries, waste disposal, and site security.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in the construction sector.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, building regulations , and health and safety legislation.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification is essential.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
