Freelance Site Manager / Assistant Site Manager

Location: Morpeth
Duration: 8 -10 weeks
Rate: Competitive, DOE

We are currently recruiting for a Freelance Site Manager / Assistant Site Manager to join a live refurbishment and improvement scheme in Morpeth .

The project involves a mixture of external and internal works , including pebble dash, cavity wall works, solar panel installation and minor electrical works, alongside loft insulation internally.

The Role

You will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day management and coordination of works on site, ensuring activities are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.

Duties will include:

• Managing and coordinating subcontractors on site
• Overseeing external works including pebble dash and cavity wall works
• Coordinating solar panel installation and associated works
• Supervising minor electrical and internal works
• Monitoring loft insulation works
• Maintaining health & safety standards across site
• Liaising with subcontractors, residents and the wider project team
• Ensuring works are completed to programme and specification
• Maintaining site records and reporting progress

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager
• Experience working on refurbishment, housing, retrofit or external envelope projects is advantageous
• Strong understanding of site health & safety
• SMSTS / SSSTS
• CSCS
• First Aid
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors effectively
