About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their growing technology team, based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands . This critical role focuses on ensuring the high availability, performance, and scalability of our production systems and infrastructure. You will be instrumental in automating operations, enhancing monitoring capabilities, and responding to incidents with speed and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure using cloud platforms and automation tools.
- Develop and implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify issues.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks through scripting and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to and resolve production incidents.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are designed for reliability and operability.
- Conduct performance analysis and capacity planning to ensure system scalability.
- Perform root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventative measures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Site Reliability Engineering , DevOps, or Systems Engineering role.
- Strong proficiency with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and distributed systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
