Site Services Engineer
£50,000 | Monday–Friday | Bonus | Excellent Benefits
If you’re a multi-skilled engineer with a strong electrical bias and fancy stepping into a role where you’ll have real ownership of the site services function, this could be worth a look.
We’re working with a well-established food manufacturer in Sheffield that is investing heavily in its people, its facilities and its site. They’re now looking for a Site Services Engineer to work closely with the Site Services Lead, helping to keep the wider site infrastructure running safely, reliably and efficiently.
What will you be doing?
You’ll have a varied role covering the site’s utilities, facilities and engineering infrastructure. One day you could be fault-finding on a compressor, the next working on air handling equipment or supporting improvements to the site's utilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and fault-finding on site services and utilities
- Working on air handling and compressed air systems
- Supporting the maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site
- Supporting facilities and infrastructure maintenance
- Identifying opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and site performance
- Working alongside the Site Services Lead on improvement projects and planned works
- Supporting contractors and external engineers where required
- Ensuring site services equipment is maintained safely and effectively
- Helping to keep the site compliant with relevant safety and engineering standards
What are we looking for?
You’ll need to be a multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias, ideally with experience working across utilities, facilities or site services within a manufacturing environment.
You don’t need to have worked in food manufacturing before — the key thing is having the right engineering fundamentals and being comfortable working across a varied site.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Electrically biased with good mechanical skills
- Experienced in planned and reactive maintenance
- Comfortable working on utilities and site infrastructure
- Confident fault-finding and diagnosing problems
- Practical, hands‑on and happy getting stuck into a varied workload
- Keen to develop their skills and take on additional responsibility
Why join?
This is a business with a genuinely good culture. They invest in their people, provide opportunities to develop and give their engineering team the support and resources they need to do a good job.
You’ll also get:
- £50,000 salary
- Monday–Friday working
- Bonus opportunity
- Generous benefits package
- Ongoing training and development
- A stable and well-established business
- Excellent opportunities to develop your career
- A genuinely supportive team and great working culture
If you’re an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer who enjoys variety and wants to move into a Site Services-focused role with a business that actually invests in its people, this could be a very good next step
