Smart Contract Developer - Gaming

About the Role

Our client is looking for a creative and skilled Smart Contract Developer specializing in the gaming sector to join their innovative studio in Derby . This role will focus on designing and implementing smart contracts that power in-game economies, digital asset ownership (NFTs), and player-driven mechanics within blockchain-integrated games. You will collaborate closely with game designers and engineers to bring unique, decentralized gaming experiences to life, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in crypto and blockchain gaming. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts for blockchain gaming applications, including NFT marketplaces and in-game economies.
• Design and implement tokenomics and incentive structures for player engagement within decentralized games.
• Collaborate with game developers to integrate smart contract functionalities into game engines and platforms.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of smart contracts governing digital assets and game logic.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in NFTs, metaverse technologies , and blockchain gaming trends.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Smart Contract Developer , with a portfolio demonstrating blockchain gaming projects.
• Strong proficiency in Solidity and experience with developing NFTs (ERC-721, ERC-1155 standards).
• Understanding of game development principles and familiarity with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) is a plus.
• Knowledge of decentralized finance (DeFi) concepts and their application in gaming.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
