About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Smart Contract Developer to join their dynamic team on a **fully remote contract basis**, contributing to exciting projects within the **crypto and blockchain** domain, based near Portsmouth . You will be responsible for writing, testing, and deploying secure and efficient smart contracts for a variety of decentralized applications. This role requires a sharp mind for code, a deep understanding of blockchain principles, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative virtual environment. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality smart contracts on blockchain platforms like Ethereum.
• Write clean, maintainable, and secure code adhering to best practices.
• Perform thorough code reviews and security audits of smart contracts developed by yourself and others.
• Collaborate with backend and frontend developers to integrate smart contracts into dApps.
• Optimize contract performance and gas efficiency.
• Research and implement new blockchain technologies and features relevant to contract development.

Requirements

• Proven experience developing and deploying smart contracts , particularly using Solidity.
• Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, including consensus mechanisms and cryptography.
• Experience with relevant development tools and frameworks (e.g., Truffle, Hardhat, Ganache).
• Familiarity with common smart contract vulnerabilities and security patterns.
• Ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests for smart contracts.
• Experience working in an agile development environment, preferably in a remote setting.
