Our client is seeking a creative and strategic Social Media & Content Specialist to elevate their e-commerce brand presence from their offices in Derby . This role is responsible for developing and implementing engaging content strategies across various social media platforms to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and online sales. You will be instrumental in crafting compelling narratives, creating visually appealing assets, and managing the day-to-day activities on our social channels. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a robust content calendar for all social media platforms, ensuring consistent brand messaging and engagement.
- Create original, high-quality content including graphics, videos, and compelling copy tailored for specific platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok).
- Manage the scheduling, posting, and daily monitoring of social media channels, actively engaging with followers and responding to inquiries.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media content with broader campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities.
- Analyze social media performance metrics, track key trends, and generate reports with actionable insights to optimize content strategy.
- Stay informed about the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices within the e-commerce industry.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role, with a portfolio showcasing creative content.
- Proficiency in using social media management tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite) and content creation software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark).
- Strong understanding of social media algorithms, analytics, and best practices for engagement and growth.
- Excellent copywriting, editing, and visual communication skills.
- Experience within the e-commerce sector is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
