About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and strategic Social Media Manager to lead their digital engagement efforts from their Edinburgh office. You will be responsible for creating compelling content, managing social media platforms, and fostering community interaction across various channels. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with marketing goals and brand voice.
- Create, curate, and schedule engaging content (text, image, video) across all relevant social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok).
- Monitor social media channels for industry trends, audience feedback, and competitor activity, responding promptly and appropriately.
- Build and nurture online communities, fostering conversations and encouraging user-generated content.
- Analyze social media performance metrics, reporting on key insights and making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
- Collaborate with marketing, PR, and design teams to ensure integrated campaign messaging and consistent branding.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful social media campaigns.
- In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices for engagement.
- Excellent copywriting, editing, and communication skills with a creative flair.
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms.
- Understanding of digital marketing principles and how social media fits into the broader marketing mix.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
