Our client is seeking a forward-thinking Social Media Strategist to lead their social media initiatives from their office in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for enhancing brand visibility and fostering community engagement within the e-commerce and social media sector. You will be responsible for crafting innovative social media strategies, creating captivating content, and managing all social channels to drive traffic and conversions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of platform algorithms, audience behaviour, and the ability to translate these insights into impactful campaigns that resonate with customers and achieve marketing objectives in a competitive online landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive social media strategies aligned with business goals.
- Create, curate, and schedule engaging content across all relevant social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn).
- Monitor social media channels for industry trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback, responding appropriately.
- Analyze social media performance metrics, track KPIs, and generate regular reports on campaign effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to ensure brand consistency and optimize content for maximum reach and engagement.
- Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation and performance optimization.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Social Media Strategist or similar role, demonstrating successful campaign execution.
- Expertise in various social media platforms, their respective best practices, and analytics tools.
- Strong understanding of content creation, including copywriting, basic graphic design, and video editing principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with online communities.
- Experience with social media management and scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related discipline.
