Social Worker - Child Protection - Hull City

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Child Protection team in Hull City. This role is critical in safeguarding vulnerable children and families, ensuring their welfare and promoting their best interests. As a Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including families, schools, and healthcare providers, to assess needs and implement effective interventions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs.
• Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans that promote the safety and well‑being of children.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
• Working closely with multi‑agency teams to coordinate services and support for families.
• Providing guidance and support to families in crisis, facilitating access to necessary resources.
• Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony as required.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

• A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work).
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and families.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and training.
