What you will do:
- Manage a caseload of looked after children and young people, ensuring all statutory requirements, local procedures, and best practice guidance are met.
- Conduct statutory visits, assessments, and reviews to safeguard children and meet their welfare needs.
- Develop, implement, and review care plans aimed at promoting stability, permanence, education, health, and emotional wellbeing.
- Collaborate closely with foster carers, residential providers, special guardians, schools, health professionals, and other agencies to coordinate support and achieve positive outcomes.
Person Specification:
Qualifications
- Possess a Degree in Social Work or a recognised equivalent qualification.
- Maintain current registration with Social Work England.
- Show evidence of continuing professional development relevant to children’s social care.
Key Skills
- Demonstrate expertise in care planning and permanence planning.
- Exhibit skills in safeguarding and risk assessment.
- Proficient in statutory case management and report writing.
Registration and Compliance
- Ensure you remain registered with Social Work England.
