What you will do:

• Manage a caseload of looked after children and young people, ensuring all statutory requirements, local procedures, and best practice guidance are met.
• Conduct statutory visits, assessments, and reviews to safeguard children and meet their welfare needs.
• Develop, implement, and review care plans aimed at promoting stability, permanence, education, health, and emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate closely with foster carers, residential providers, special guardians, schools, health professionals, and other agencies to coordinate support and achieve positive outcomes.

Person Specification:

Qualifications

• Possess a Degree in Social Work or a recognised equivalent qualification.
• Maintain current registration with Social Work England.
• Show evidence of continuing professional development relevant to children’s social care.

Key Skills

• Demonstrate expertise in care planning and permanence planning.
• Exhibit skills in safeguarding and risk assessment.
• Proficient in statutory case management and report writing.

Registration and Compliance

• Ensure you remain registered with Social Work England.
