Social Worker - Family Support

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Social Worker to join their vital Community & Social Care team in Aberdeen . Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of individual and family needs, identifying risks and support requirements.
• Develop, implement, and review tailored support plans in collaboration with service users and relevant agencies.
• Provide direct support, advice, and advocacy to clients, navigating complex social care systems and resources.
• Liaise effectively with partner organizations, including health services, educational institutions, and voluntary sector groups.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case records, adhering to all legal and professional standards.
• Respond to safeguarding concerns, escalating issues as necessary and contributing to child protection procedures.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Social Work (e.g., BA/BSc in Social Work, DipSW).
• Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
• Proven experience in statutory social work or a related field, preferably within Community & Social Care .
• In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social care.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work under pressure.
