Software Architect - Enterprise Solutions

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Software Architect to lead the design and development of complex enterprise solutions . Based in our Reading office, you will be responsible for defining technical strategies, setting architectural standards, and guiding development teams to build scalable, resilient, and maintainable software systems. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of various technology stacks and a proven ability to architect solutions that meet demanding business requirements and future growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and document the overall technical architecture for enterprise-level applications and systems.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to meet project needs.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Ensure architectural designs align with business objectives, scalability requirements, and security best practices.
• Identify technical debt and propose strategies for its remediation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across different departments to gather requirements and communicate architectural decisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years in a Software Architect or lead technical role.
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex, scalable, and distributed enterprise systems.
• Broad knowledge of various technology stacks, including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, and database technologies.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, architectural principles, and best practices.
