About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Software Architect to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent . In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for defining and overseeing the technical vision and architecture of our client's software solutions. You will collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that systems are designed for scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Key Responsibilities

Define and document the overall software architecture, including system design, technology selection, and integration strategies.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Ensure that architectural decisions align with business objectives and long-term strategic goals.
Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Conduct architectural reviews and provide recommendations to ensure system robustness and efficiency.
Develop and maintain architectural standards, patterns, and best practices.

Requirements

Extensive experience as a Software Engineer or Architect, with a proven ability to design complex systems.
Strong understanding of various architectural styles (e.g., microservices, monolithic, event-driven).
Proficiency in multiple programming languages and a deep understanding of software design principles.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated services.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
