Software Engineer - Mobile Applications (iOS/Android)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Software Engineer to focus on developing and enhancing their native mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms in Liverpool . You will be a key member of the mobile development team, responsible for delivering high-quality, user-friendly mobile experiences that align with business objectives. Working in a collaborative, office-based environment, you'll contribute to the entire mobile development lifecycle, from conception and design through to testing and deployment. This role is ideal for a mobile specialist passionate about creating exceptional user interfaces and robust mobile solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality native mobile applications for iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java).
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement mobile app features.
• Optimize application performance for speed, scalability, and responsiveness across a wide range of devices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to industry best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the mobile development process.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and technical issues reported by users or QA teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience in mobile application development.
• Proven experience developing native applications for either iOS using Swift or Android using Kotlin .
• Familiarity with mobile development tools, SDKs, and best practices for each platform.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and mobile integration with backend services.
