Solar Farm Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Solar Farm Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of utility-scale solar projects in and around Southampton . You will manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from site acquisition and permitting through to construction, commissioning, and handover. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and a deep understanding of solar technology and construction processes. You will be pivotal in delivering high-quality, cost-effective solar energy solutions, contributing to the company’s expansion in the renewable energy market and its commitment to a greener future.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of solar farm projects , ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Oversee site assessments, feasibility studies, and permitting processes.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors, and manage their performance.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including landowners, local authorities, and investors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience of at least 5 years as a Project Manager in the renewable energy sector, specifically with solar PV projects.
• Strong understanding of solar technology, electrical systems, and construction methodologies.
• Experience with contract negotiation, procurement, and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
