About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Solar Farm Site Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of their state-of-the-art solar facilities near Southampton . This hands-on role is critical for ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and efficiency of the solar farm. You will be responsible for managing on-site teams, coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and liaising with stakeholders to guarantee the smooth operation of this vital renewable energy asset. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a key operational site in the growing solar energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily operations and maintenance activities for the solar farm.
• Lead and develop on-site technical and operational teams, ensuring high performance and safety standards.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring all equipment is regularly inspected and serviced.
• Oversee site safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.
• Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to maximize energy output.
• Manage site inventory, equipment, and contractor relationships effectively.

Requirements

• Proven experience in managing operations and maintenance for large-scale industrial sites, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
• Strong understanding of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Good communication and reporting skills, with attention to detail.
