Solar PV Design Engineer

You will work closely with sales, project management, and installation teams to ensure designs are efficient, compliant, and cost-effective. Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineer optimal solar PV systems for various client requirements, including residential, commercial, and industrial installations.
• Produce detailed electrical schematics, site layouts, and Bill of Materials (BOM) using industry-standard software.
• Conduct site assessments and surveys to gather necessary data for system design.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, electrical standards, and solar industry best practices.
• Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to select appropriate components (panels, inverters, mounting systems).
• Provide technical support to the sales and installation teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing solar photovoltaic systems .
• Proficiency with solar design software such as PVSyst, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
• Good understanding of electrical principles, grid connection requirements, and health & safety regulations.
• Familiarity with different types of solar panels, inverters, and mounting hardware.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
