About the Role
Our client is actively recruiting for a skilled Solar PV Installation Engineer to join their expanding team in Southampton . You will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a practical, hands-on approach, ensuring all installations meet the highest industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will play a direct role in promoting clean energy adoption across the region, working as part of a dedicated installation crew committed to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Install solar PV panels , mounting hardware, inverters, and associated electrical components.
- Perform electrical wiring and connections according to design specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct system testing and commissioning to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any installation-related issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, electrical regulations, and health and safety guidelines.
- Manage installation tools and equipment, maintaining a clean and organized worksite.
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician or relevant trade qualification (e.g., C&G 2365, 2391).
- Experience in installing solar PV systems and associated electrical equipment.
- Understanding of electrical principles and safety procedures.
- Hold a valid UK driving license for site travel.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
