Solicitor - Family Law

About the Role

Our client, a well-established and reputable law firm in the historic city of Norwich , is seeking a dedicated Solicitor to join their respected Family Law department. This role offers the chance to manage a diverse caseload of private family law matters, including divorce, financial settlements, child arrangements, and cohabitation disputes. You will work closely with experienced colleagues and provide compassionate, expert advice to clients during sensitive times. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor passionate about family law to build their career within a supportive and professional environment in Norfolk.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on all aspects of private family law, including divorce, financial remedies, and child-related matters.
• Manage a caseload of matters from initial client contact through to resolution, including court proceedings where necessary.
• Draft applications, statements, and orders for court approval.
• Conduct negotiations and attend mediation sessions on behalf of clients.
• Maintain detailed and accurate client records and case files.
• Build and nurture strong client relationships, providing clear and empathetic guidance.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years of PQE specializing in Family Law .
• Demonstrated experience in handling divorce, financial remedy, and child arrangement cases.
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation and procedures in family law.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client care skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with Legal Aid is an advantage but not essential.
