Responsibilities in your new role as Sous Chef

As our Sous Chef, you will be instrumental in the smooth operation of our bustling kitchen. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading service and coordinating the kitchen team during busy periods

Monitoring food quality, presentation, and service timings

Supervising and supporting Chefs de Partie and junior kitchen staff

Assisting with staff training, development, and shift planning

Helping manage stock levels and placing food orders

Ensuring high standards of food hygiene and health and safety are maintained

Supporting the Head Chef with menu development and daily specials

Testing and refining new dishes and recipes

Maintaining exceptional food quality and consistency at all times

Your personality, experience and qualifications

You are a passionate Sous Chef with experience in a similar role and a strong track record of progression and longevity within previous positions. You'll thrive in a fast paced kitchen, bring creativity to every service, and enjoy supporting the development of those around you. Key requirements include:

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role

Proven career progression and longevity in a previous positions

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Experience in creating high-quality, innovative dishes

Experience training and mentoring junior chefs

Excellent communication skills
