SEND Tutor - Wirral

Location: Wirral Hours: 5-15 hours per week Start Date: September 2026 Duration: Ongoing

We are looking for a compassionate and adaptable SEND Tutor to provide 1:1 educational support to a young learner in the Wirral area.

The successful candidate will be confident adapting their approach to meet individual needs and will enjoy creating structured, supportive sessions that encourage learners to engage positively with education.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personalised 1:1 tuition Adapt lessons to the learner's individual needs Create supportive and engaging learning activities Develop positive learning routines Encourage confidence and independence Record and communicate learner progress

Requirements

Experience working with children or young people Previous experience supporting learners with SEND Patient, nurturing and flexible approach Strong communication skills Ability to build positive professional relationships Teaching qualification or relevant tutoring experience desirable Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one Right to Work in the UK Two professional child-related references
