About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Specialist Cleaning Operative to join their dedicated facilities team in Oxford . This role requires an individual with expertise in handling challenging cleaning tasks, including deep cleaning, biohazard remediation, or the sanitization of specific environments. You will be responsible for utilizing specialized equipment and chemicals to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and safety, adhering strictly to industry protocols. This position is vital for maintaining operational integrity and ensuring a safe environment for all occupants.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform specialized cleaning procedures, such as deep cleaning, sanitization, and disinfection of complex areas.
• Operate and maintain advanced cleaning machinery and equipment (e.g., carpet extractors, floor scrubbers, industrial vacuums).
• Handle and apply specialist cleaning chemicals safely and effectively, following all safety guidelines.
• Respond to emergency cleaning situations, including spills, contamination, or biohazard incidents, with speed and precision.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, including COSHH.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, chemicals used, and any incidents encountered.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a specialist cleaner, with a strong understanding of various cleaning techniques and applications.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining specialized cleaning equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of COSHH regulations and safe handling of hazardous cleaning substances.
