Specialist Cleaning Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Specialist Cleaning Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations across multiple sites in and around Glasgow, Scotland , with a hybrid working model. You will lead a team of cleaning operatives, ensuring the delivery of high-quality cleaning services, adhering to strict hygiene standards, and managing resources effectively. This role requires a blend of hands-on cleaning knowledge, team leadership, and logistical planning to maintain excellent standards of cleanliness for our clients, acting as the primary point of contact for site-specific cleaning requirements and quality assurance, ensuring client satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and motivate a team of cleaning staff to ensure high performance and adherence to schedules.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor cleaning quality, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper maintenance.
• Develop and implement effective cleaning plans tailored to the specific needs of different commercial environments.
• Act as the main liaison with clients on cleaning-related matters, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
• Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a cleaning supervisory role, preferably within commercial or specialized cleaning.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent understanding of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and health and safety legislation.
• Good organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage hybrid schedules.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
• Ability to conduct site visits and audits as required.
