Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality music lessons across various age groups and skill levels, incorporating a range of musical genres and styles.
• Teach practical music skills, including instrumental performance, vocal technique, and music theory.
• Organise and lead school musical ensembles, choirs, or bands, preparing them for performances.
• Develop creative and engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and interests.
• Inspire students' passion for music through dynamic teaching and by fostering a positive and encouraging classroom environment.
• Collaborate with other arts faculty to create cross-curricular projects and school-wide cultural events.

Requirements

• A degree or diploma in Music Performance, Music Education, or a related field.
• Proven experience in teaching music, with a strong proficiency in at least one instrument or vocal performance.
• Knowledge of music theory, history, and various pedagogical approaches for music education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young people.
• Experience in directing musical ensembles or choirs is highly desirable.
• A commitment to fostering a love of music and creativity in students.
