About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sports Centre Manager to oversee the operations of their flagship facility in Bristol . This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the centre, encompassing all aspects from facility management and staff supervision to program delivery and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing budgets, driving revenue growth, and creating a welcoming and safe environment for all members and visitors, contributing significantly to the centre's success and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operations of the sports centre, including staffing, budgeting, facility maintenance, and customer service.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to increase membership, program participation, and revenue streams.
• Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of staff, including receptionists, fitness instructors, and maintenance personnel.
• Ensure all facilities, equipment, and programs meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
• Oversee marketing and promotional activities to enhance the centre's visibility and attract new users.
• Foster positive relationships with members, stakeholders, and the local community.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a management role within the leisure or sports industry.
• Strong understanding of sports centre operations, including facility management, fitness programming, and customer relations.
• Demonstrated experience in budget management, financial planning, and revenue generation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant qualifications in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field are desirable.
