Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms for sports analytics .
- Clean, process, and analyze large, diverse datasets related to player performance, game statistics, and training data.
- Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with coaching and performance teams to identify key insights and actionable recommendations.
- Stay abreast of the latest research and methodologies in data science and sports science.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a strong portfolio in sports analytics projects.
- Expertise in programming languages such as Python or R and relevant libraries (e.g., Pandas, Scikit-learn).
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with big data technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and exceptional communication skills for presenting complex findings.
