Sports Event Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and energetic Sports Event Coordinator to manage and execute a variety of sporting events in Leeds . This hybrid role requires a proactive individual who can seamlessly blend on-site coordination with remote planning and administrative tasks. You will be responsible for all logistical aspects of events, ensuring they run smoothly, safely, and within budget, contributing to the vibrant Leisure & Sports scene in the region. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate all logistical elements of sports events, including venue booking, equipment rental, and staffing.
• Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and operational schedules.
• Manage event budgets, track expenses, and process invoices and payments.
• Liaise with stakeholders, including participants, vendors, sponsors, and venue staff.
• Oversee on-site event execution, troubleshooting issues and ensuring participant satisfaction.
• Manage post-event evaluations, including gathering feedback and preparing reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event coordination, preferably within the Leisure & Sports sector.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with diverse groups.
• Proficiency in event management software and standard office applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing priorities.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as event schedules demand.
