Sports Facilities Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and organized Sports Facilities Manager to lead the operations of their key sports venues in Coventry . This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth running of all sporting activities, maintaining state-of-the-art facilities, and delivering exceptional experiences for athletes, members, and the public. You will be responsible for everything from scheduling and event management to staff supervision and health and safety compliance, playing a vital role in promoting sports participation and community engagement across the West Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of multiple sports facilities, including scheduling, booking, and event management.
• Ensure all facilities, including pitches, courts, and gyms, are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
• Manage and train a team of facility attendants, maintenance staff, and receptionists, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Develop and implement health and safety protocols, emergency procedures, and risk assessments for all venue activities.
• Liaise with sports clubs, governing bodies, and external contractors to coordinate events and maintenance schedules.

Requirements

• Proven experience in sports facility management or a similar operational role.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations within a sports context.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, resources, and staff effectively.
• Experience with booking systems and facility management software.
